Beautiful staircase ambiance

Strongly recommend for a speedy visit

Comfortable bed, pleasant breakfast, the building looks nice on the outside with a beautiful staircase, and it had free wi-fi that made it easy to stay connected during our short trip.

i had a lovely stay at the cathedral quarter! raj was fantastic, welcoming us and giving a personal touch. the room was a queen room, and the shower was hot and powerful. it’s close to the city center, which made exploring easy. the friendly staff contributed to a warm atmosphere, and i also enjoyed the complimentary shampoo and conditioning treatment at nearby get ahead training.

great value but rooms could be bigger

The staff delivered friendly and helpful service throughout our stay. The bathroom was modern and well-maintained, with ample toiletries and thick towels.

The rooms, though cozy, felt small by my standards.

The grand staircase immediately catches your eye upon entry, setting a historic tone that feels both elegant and comfortable. Nightly rates are relatively high but the larger rooms are genuinely spacious with large, cozy beds and impressive views.

The smaller rooms can be uncomfortably compact, with noticeable issues like missing tiles in the bathroom and shaky furniture. the parking situation is tricky, relying on street parking with strict meter enforcement during busy hours.

My stay at Cathedral Quarter was truly enjoyable. The decor was beautiful and contributed to a comfortable environment. The staff were accommodating, and the central location made it ideal for my business needs. I appreciated the quality of the facilities available for work, including fast WiFi and a quiet atmosphere.

Great stay with a small hiccup

Had a nice 4-night stay. Staff were super helpful, and the double room was comfy. The bathroom was always spotless, which was a big plus. Breakfast had its moments, though. The veggie sausages were kinda overdone, and the setup was messy due to a wedding. Still, I really liked the bar area to unwind in!

The elegant decor and charming atmosphere made me feel right at home, while the spacious layout was perfect for easy mobility. It was a delight to explore the historical character of the hotel with its beautiful original features.

More seating in common areas for relaxation.

Lovely decor and comfortable layout throughout the hotel. Staffing issues led to slow service during breakfast. Close to local attractions and not far from the golf course. Great spot for exploring the area.

Great location with easy access to local bars and restaurants. The room was spacious with a comfy bed, electric kettle, flat-screen TV, mini fridge, and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was made to order, with a lovely variety. Staff was helpful and took immediate action to sort out the broken toilet issue. The lovely old building has beautiful decor, adding to the charm.

We enjoyed the grand interior with a beautiful stained glass window and a lovely dinner in the unique former courtroom setting.

It was just a commendable fit for a swift visit in Derby with excellent value for money. Parking was a breeze because the staff helped us find a great spot right outside. Make sure to get there early if you need to park, as spaces fill up fast.
